1998 Queen's Award

In 1986 Mukesh Patel launched a business from the dining room of his home in Greenford. Middlesex, U.K. exporting automotive spare parts.

Today Mr Patel runs Prigee International Ltd. which has a turnover of more than £3million and supplies spare parts around the world for all automobiles including four-wheel drive vehicles, plant equipment and agricultural vehicles. Its main markets are Africa, the Middle East and South America and export accounts for 90-percent of sales.

 Major suppliers include Land Rover, Leyland and DAF, as well as Bedford, Scania, Volvo, Massey Ferguson, Caterpillar, Cummins and Lister-Petter.

The Company, which operates from a 17,000 square foot warehouse with an 11 strong staff, also supplies its own brand spare parts "Autoland".

 Autoland currently accounts for 20-per cent of the Company's exports, but Prigee is hoping to increase this figure to 80-per cent by the year 2005.

1998 ISO 9002 Award

It was also in this year that Mr Patel and Prigee International Ltd gained the ISO 9002 accreditation from the International Standards Organization in recognition of excellent quality of service.
